After you know the brief specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M62, Yiptechid will discuss its advantages and disadvantages below.
The advantages of Samsung Galaxy M62
1. Elegant Design
The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy M62 are exactly the same as its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy M51 of 163.9 x 76.3 x 9.5 mm. But the difference is in the weight, where the Galaxy M62 weighs 5 grams heavier than the Galaxy M51 which is 213 grams.
On the back cover, Samsung gives a touch of longitudinal straight lines in three color variants, namely green, blue and black. This part is made of glossy plastic as if it looks like elegant glass. Four cameras installed in a square add to its elegant impression as if it were an iPhone model.
On the side there are volume buttons and the power button that is integrated with the fingerprint scanner. And on the screen with a size of 6.7 inches wrapped in super amoled where the bezel on the side of the screen is very thin making the comfort of the wide screen width. As for this type of Samsung USB post, it is Type C.
2. Very good photo result
For the mid-range, the Samsung Galaxy M62 has very good shots. Armed with a 64 MP sensor, this f/1.8 is mounted on the main lens of the rear camera. It is accompanied by a 12 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens; 5 MP macro lens, f/2.4; as well as a 5 MP f/2.4 depth lens.
The camera software algorithm is getting better at determining the main object with the background in portrait mode. Furthermore, a 32 MP f/2.2 front camera is able to do its job well. The shots are quite detailed and able to display skin tones naturally.
3. Very Fast Battery Charging
Most smartphones that are popping up today do have a Fast Charging feature, and the Samsung Galaxy M62 is no exception. With a battery capacity of 7000 mAh, it should have a Fast Charging feature.
For its own durability, Samsung claims that the 7000 mAh battery can be used for 24 hours to surf on 4G and WiFi networks, and set up video for up to 33 hours. You can also make calls for 50 hours (via 4G network) or listen to songs for up to 145 hours.
Disadvantages of Samsung Galaxy M62
1. Not yet Support 5G
The Samsung Galaxy M62 is present in Indonesia in June 2021 with an initial retail price of IDR 5.9 million for one available variant, namely 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. Looking at the price tag, you can expect this phone to be ready for the 5G era. It is also a strong competitor for the OPPO Reno 5G (Snapdragon 765G), which is sold at a price of Rp. 6.99 million.
Unfortunately, 5G support is still absent for this phone because by default the Exynos 9825 chipset does not carry a 5G modem. As a result, the Galaxy M62 stuck on the 4G network. Luckily this phone is able to capture a 5 GHz WiFi signal which has better connection stability than the 2.4 GHz model.
2. Dimensions Thickness and Weight
For this one drawback, it does not apply to users who like smartphones with thick dimensions and heavy weights, but for us personally this is one of the drawbacks because we don’t like smartphones with thick dimensions and heavy weight.
This is indeed a consequence of the jumbo battery that is 7000 mAh it contains. The average cell phone with a battery size above 5000 mAh does weigh more than 200 grams.
3. Screen Doesn’t Support HDR and High Refresh Rate
There’s no doubting the Super AMOLED panel made by Samsung. This panel has good color reproduction (vivid), even some people tend to like it more than IPS. Especially when the screen displays black, it’s very intense.
It’s just that the 6.7-inch Full HD + Super AMOLED screen installed on the front of the Galaxy M62 does not yet support technologies such as HDR-level color depth, high refresh rate, and high touch sampling rate. There is only the ability to display images with high brightness up to 420 nits. This may slightly impact the experience for those who enjoy watching high-quality content and playing games.
So, those are the advantages and disadvantages of the Samsung Galaxy M62, for those of you who are interested in the advantages of the Samsung Galaxy M62 without ignoring the drawbacks, you can see the price list on Ecommers such as Tokopedia and Shopee.
